Lip filler is hyaluronic acid, a sugar molecule your body already makes, placed in small amounts to shape rather than inflate. The Soft Russian technique we use builds height and definition from vertical placement instead of pushing volume outward, which is why it reads as a better version of your own lip rather than a different one.
Swelling is not a complication, it's the process. Lips swell more than anywhere else on the face, and they usually peak the morning after — often noticeably bigger than the result you're going to keep. That settles over three to five days. Please do not judge your lips on day one, and please don't book two days before a wedding.
Bruising happens to some people and not others, and it's largely down to anatomy rather than technique. If you bruise, it usually clears within a week and covers easily with lipstick after the first forty-eight hours.
Swelling peaks
The morning after, settling over 3–5 days.

About 2 weeks, once all swelling resolves and the filler integrates.
Typically lasts
12–18 months for 0.2ml and 0.5ml; 12–24 months for 1ml.
Before an event
Book at least 2 weeks ahead. Four is better.
For 24 hours after
No strenuous exercise, saunas or hot yoga. Sleep slightly elevated. Ice gently if you'd like.
